A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on illegal turnover of narcotic drugs or psychotropic materials in particularly large amount.
 

In the result of joint measures taken together with the employees of General Department on Struggle against Organized Crime, on November 4, 2016 3 men were apprehended on suspicion of illegal procurement, keeping and selling of narcotic drugs. One of them was a citizen of the Islamic Republic of Iran, two of them were Armenians, residents of Gyumri. Through personal search “B2” pills and two brown masses with total weight of 1004 grams were found with the citizen of IRI, and a polymer container with black sticky mass of 597 grams in it was found with one of the residents of Gyumri. According to the mentioned two men’s declaration the mass and pills found were drugs.
  

Through investigation it was found that the citizen of Iran illegally procured “B2” pills and drugs of “opium” type in particularly large amount with the purpose of selling a part of which was sold to the resident of Gyumri by him.
 

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Point 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 266 and the Part 3 of the Article 268 of RA Criminal Code. The IRI citizen was arrested on suspicion of selling drugs in particularly large amount, the resident of Gyumri was arrested on suspicion of illegal procurement of drugs in particularly large amount.
 

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary investigatory measures are taken to find the source of procurement of drugs, to provide the comprehensive, objective and complete investigation of the case.
