In the result of investigatory actions of great volume conducted within the criminal case investigated in Kotayk Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of banditry against a resident of Meghradzor village were found out. Charge was pressed against 2 people.

Pursuant to initial data, on January 4, 2019 at about 22:00 with the purpose of swindling property in large amount two masked persons having committed the alleged crime, with prior agreement, illegally entered one of the houses of Meghradzor community of Kotayk province and assaulted the female resident of the same house, born in 1936. With the purpose of assisting the banditry, to abolish the possible obstacles the third person waited outside and controlled.

Then one of those who had entered the house took the woman from the hall to the bedroom, threatened to use violence dangerous for life or health with a knife, stole money in large amount – 200.000 RF Rubbles, golden jewelry and left.

On January 5, 2019 a criminal case was initiated in Kotayk Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Points 1, 2, 3, 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 175 of RA Criminal Code. 82 year-old woman was found the injured party and questioned. Forensic medical examination was commissioned against her.

Inspection of the scene was conducted, several people were questioned, and instructions were given to Hrazdan division of the Police. Forensic finger print examination was commissioned.

During preliminary investigation the people having committed the alleged crime were identified; they are residents of Kotayk province, born in 1994, 1993 and 1980. Their actions were personalized.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against two of them – 24 and 25 year-old men according to the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 175 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against them. 38 year-old man was questioned as a suspect and signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
