On February 22 the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee Hayk Grigoryan left for Vayots Dzor province on working visit to sum up the work done by the regional investigative department in 2018.

The Head of RA IC Vayots Dzor Regional Investigative Department Hovik Khachatryan presented the work done by the regional investigative department in 2018 in numerical indices.

Pursuant to it, in the observed period 192 criminal cases were investigated in Vayots Dzor Regional Investigative Department as compared with 152 criminal cases of the previous year. Proceeding of 83 criminal cases was completed. In the observed period the number of criminal cases investigated in the investigative department has increased by 40 conditioned with the increase of corruption-related crimes as compared with the same period of the previous year.

IC Chairman Hayk Grigoryan studied the process of criminal cases investigated in the regional investigative department sphere by sphere and gave specific instructions to organize it in a more efficient way.

IC Chairman gave a positive mark to the work done by the regional department at the same time emphasizing that improvement should be daily work.

During the working visit Hayk Grigoryan referred to the program of electronic investigation mentioning that beginning from March 1 Investigative Committee will fully work with that program.
