Charge Pressed against 64 Year-Old Resident of Syunik for Townsman's Murder

Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on murder of the resident of Kapan town, born in 1969, was completed in Syunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. Charge was pressed against the resident of Syunik province, born in 1954.

Through comprehensive, complete and objective investigation a number of circumstances and the motive were found out.

Pursuant to factual data obtained through investigation during the argument with 49 year-old resident of Kapan town the man, born in 1954, was hit on his head.

Then in order to revenge on the wounds he had sustained he took a metal crowbar from 49 year-old man and hit him on the head after which he held the man’s head and hit it to the wall. As a result, the man lost consciousness.

The resident of Syunik province went on using violence against the victim. He drew him to the bathroom, hit him with a fist for numerous times which caused the man’s death.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against the resident of Syunik, born in 1954, according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to court.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
