Criminal Case Initiated on Breaching Rules of Self-Isolation and other Restrictions of Right to Free Movement in State of Emergency Received in Proceeding of RA Investigative Committee

On June 20, 2020 68 year-old resident of Abovyan was tested for «covid 19» in “Nork” clinical hospital the positive result of which was confirmed on June 23.

The latter, being informed about mandatory self-isolation, during the state of emergency breached the rules of self-isolation and other restrictions of the right to free movement; on June 24, 2020 68 year-old man provided taxi services and transported passengers in his car.

On June 25, 2020 a criminal case was initiated according to the Part 1 of the Article 277.1 of RA Criminal Code which was on the same day sent to Abovyan Investigative Division of Kotayk Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee and was received in proceeding.

Investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted to find out all circumstances of the case.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
