Criminal Case Initiated on Murder of Serviceman Davit Vardanyan Committed by Rival
A criminal case was initiated in the Ninth Garrison Investigative Unit of General Military Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Points 7 and 13 of the Part 2 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code on serviceman’s murder caused by the shot fired from the combat position of the armed forces of Azerbaijan.
Pursuant to initial data, on May 28, 2022 at about 10:40 the serviceman of the unit N of the RA Ministry of Defense while carrying out his combat duties Davit Vahan Vardanyan received firearm injury on the groin area of the left leg as a result of the shots fired by the rival sniper and was taken to Kapan’s medical center where on May 29, 2022 at 03:47 his biological death was recorded.
Preliminary investigation is underway.
