Forester Cut Ear of Resident of Gandzaqar Village with Axe

On March 11, 2020 the resident of Gandzaqar village of Tavush province submitted a report in Ijevan Police Division informing that on the same day at about 20:30 the forester of the same village beat him in front of the church located at the end of the village, hit him with an axe and cut his ear.

A criminal case was initiated in Tavush Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 6 of the Part 2 of the Article 113 (willful infliction of medium gravity damage to health) of RA Criminal Code.

Pursuant to data obtained through preliminary investigation on March 11, 2020 at about 20:30 in front of the church of the village the injured made a remark to the forester who had scolded and used offensive expressions in the church yard. The latter scolded and pushed the injured to the ground. Then when the latter rose, the forester hit him with an axe on the right ear and cut it.

Measures are taken to find the person having committed the alleged crime.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
