Hooliganism in “Armenia” Republican Medical Center, a criminal case initiated
A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee on hooliganism committed in “Armenia” Republican Medical Center.
According to investigation data, on September 21 a 34 year-old man with a diagnoses of “Unknown ethology, coma” was taken to “Armenia” medical center who attacked the medical personnel in the intensive care unit of the mentioned medical center, struck the doctor of the intensive care unit with a metal bar for intravenous injection. On the base of the call received from the medical center, the police officer went to the site but the citizen used violence against him, as well. According to initial data, the police officer fired shots from “Makarov” rifle of 9 mm caliber attached to him in order to prevent the citizen’s resistance.
A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts according to the Point 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 258 and the Part 1 of the Article 316 of RA Criminal Code.
Preliminary investigation is under way. Measures are taken to provide the comprehensive and complete examination of the case.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
