In the framework of the criminal case initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code investigative  and other procedural actions are conducted to find out circumstances of infliction of heavy bodily injury to 22 year-old resident of Katnaghbyur settlement.

On January 2, 2022 at 02:55 a call was received from Stepanavan’s medical center informing that 22 year-old young man with a diagnosis of “cut-pierced penetrating wound on the left part of the waist” was taken to the medical center.

In the result of urgent measures it was found out that on the same day at about 01:00 a row erupted among a group of residents of the mentioned settlement on parking the car on the road with the remote lights on during which 34 year-old man stabbed 22 year-old young man on the chest causing heavy bodily injury.

During preliminary investigation inspection of the scene was conducted, clothes, the knife, which was the instrument of crime, were confiscated, blood samples were taken, a number of people were questioned. Forensic medical examinations were commissioned.

34 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of inflicting the fellow-villager heavy bodily injury.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
