A criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on murder attempt committed in Vanadzor on December 15.
 

On December 16, 2016 at 00:15 a call was received from Vanadzor’s medical center informing that the resident of Vanadzor D. Qocharyan, born in 1989, was taken to medical center with a firearm injury on his neck.
 

In the result of urgent investigatory actions the site was found and through its inspection 2 firearm capsules, bloodlike traces were found.
 

According to initial data, on December 15, 2016 at the café located in Students’ Street in Vanadzor, with the intend to deprive from life, the person having committed the apparent crime fired shots with a firearm he was carrying illegally towards the resident of the same town, 27 year-old D. Qocharyan. However, he could not complete the crime under circumstances beyond his control.
 

A criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department according to the Parts 1 of the Article 34-104 and the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.
 

In the framework of the criminal case D. Qocharyan was found an injured, forensic medical examination was commissioned to find circumstances significant for the criminal case, a number of witnesses were questioned.
 

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
