Murder Combined with Banditry in Kajaran
On February 18, 2021 at about 01:00 in the basement of one of the houses in Abovyan Street of Kajaran town the body of 58 year-old resident of the same house with numerous scratches and haemorrhages on the head and other parts of the body, with his hands tied with an adhesive tape was found.
Pursuant to initial data, on February 18, 2021 at about 00:30 the person (persons) having committed the alleged crime after causing bodily injuries to 58 year-old man left him in the basement of the mentioned house. Then after illegal deprivation of the man’s life he entered the latter’s apartment located in the same house and stole golden jewelry in particularly large amount - 5.000.000 AMD in total which belonged to the son of the murdered man.
A criminal case was initiated in Syunik Regional investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 8 of the Part 2 of the Article 104 (murder) of RA Criminal Code.
During preliminary investigation inspections of the scene and body were conducted, forensic medical, forensic fingerprint examinations were commissioned, a number of persons were questioned. The relevant subdivision of the RA Police was assigned to take measures to identify the person (persons) having committed the alleged crime and bring him (them) to the investigative body.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
