Necessary actions conducted to provide comprehensive investigation on incident at administrative building of sport complex “Torq Angegh”
Materials prepared in police division on the base of the call of the candidate for deputy of the RA National Assembly in proportional list of “Yelq” alliance Alen Simonyan were received in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Norq administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
Pursuant to the received materials the candidate for deputy called informing that he had been attacked in sport complex “Torq Angegh” operating in Nor Norq 4th massive of Yerevan.
According to initial data, on March 15, 2017 at about 15:00 “Yelq” alliance members with the purpose of campaign were at the building of sport complex “Torq Angegh” operating in Nor Norq 4th massive. Approaching the entrance door, inside the building they noticed campaign posters containing the photo of the candidate for deputy of the RA National Assembly, in proportional list of “Tsarukyan Allience” A. Mamoyan which was taken to the second floor by one of the employees of the complex – cleaner Nelli Petrosyan. During the shooting of the latter’s actions a row erupted during which there were attempts to prohibit the shooting, the jacket of the candidate for deputy was torn.
Investigation is conducted in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Norq administrative districts to find all circumstances of the case making the press publications about the case a subject of examination.
Forensic merchandising examination was commissioned. Additional information on investigation results will be provided.
