The criminal case initiated on hindrance to legal professional activity of the reporter of “Kentron” TV Company was received in the proceeding of Masis Investigative Division of Ararat Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

On December 24, 2019 at about 13:00 the legal professional activity of the reporter of “Kentron” TV Company was hindered at the area of a fish farm located in Hovtashat community of Ararat province.

A criminal case was initiated in the RA Police according to the Part 1 of the Article 164 of RA Criminal Code which was sent to Masis Investigative Division of Ararat Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee for conduction of preliminary investigation.

In the result of investigatory and other procedural actions a number of circumstances of the incident were found out, actual data were obtained on the person having apparently hindered the professional activity of the reporter; he is a resident of Ararat province, born in 1966. The latter was involved as a suspect and was questioned. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of circumstances of the case.
