On October 16 the opening of the administrative building of Kotayq Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee was held.

Through the decision N 1479-Ա of 25.12.2014 of the RA Government the building with 393,58 square meter surface located at 52/2, Center district, Hrazdan town, Kotayq region was attached to the state institution “Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia” with the purpose of improving the  building conditions of Hrazdan’s residence of Kotayq Regional Investigative Department.

23613.197 AMD was allocated for renovation and the administrative building was fundamentally renovated and furnished.

There are 15 offices in the building, besides separate offices are designed for preservation of evidence, interrogation of minors.

Kotayq Regional Investigative Department has divisions in Abovyan, Yeghvard, Charentsavan, as well. In March-April, 2015 the building of Abovyan Investigative Division of Kotayq Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee was separated from the building of Police Station of Kotayq through a separate entrance and was fundamentally renovated. The division has 15 offices, a room for evidence and a checkpoint. The renovation work of the administrative building of Charentsavan Investigative Division is in process. 

The RA Investigative Committee provided Kotayq Regional Investigative Department with computers, copying and scanning devices.

“The improvement of working and logistics conditions of investigators is not self-serving. It is a means, an investment to improve the efficiency and quality of investigation”, said the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee Aghvan Hovsepyan highlighting the steady application of national legislation and internationally recognized norms by investigators.

By the order of the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee the Head of Administration of the Investigative Committee Ashot Zalinyan, the Head of Kotayq Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee Mher Vardanyan, the Deputy Head of Kotayq Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee Artur Avetisyan, senior investigator of particularly important cases Hrant Saryan were awarded for conscientious performance of their duties.
