In the framework of the criminal case being investigated in the First garrison of Military General Investigation Department of RA Investigative Committee on serviceman Davit Qoloyan's death three people were arrested.
 

Particularly, in the framework of the criminal case the platoon commander, Senior Lieutenant M. Babayan and two servicemen were arrested. M. Babayan is suspected of committing a crime provided by the Part 1 of the Article 375 of RA Criminal Code that is abuse of power, transgression or administrative dereliction.
 

The servicemen are suspected of insulting and mocking D. Qoloyan by humiliating his honor. The serviceman Simonyan was arrested for committing crimes provided by the Part 1 of the Article 359 (2 counts) and the Part 1 of the Article 360 (2 counts) of RA Criminal Code. The serviceman Chapukhyan was arrested for committing a crime provided by the Part 1 of the Article 360 (3 counts) of RA Criminal Code.

As it was informed, on 21 December, 2014 at about 10:15 at one of the military positions of the Unit N the soldier Davit Qoloyan implementing his duties of observer of «alert» shift died of bodily injuries he had received in the result of the explosion of the grenade attached to him at the observatory of «alert» shift.

Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated in the First garrison of Military General Investigation Department of RA Investigative Committee is under way.

Measures are being taken to provide the complete, objective and comprehensive examination of the case.
