In the result of large-scale investigative and other procedural actions conducted in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of kidnapping 27 year-old young man were found out.

Through comprehensive investigation conducted within the criminal case factual data were obtained on the allegation that 36 year-old resident of Yerevan, being informed about offensive posts made from 27 year-old man’s instagram page to his friend, for the purpose of punishing the young man he reached prior agreement with the latter’s partner and a group of people on kidnapping him. Pursuant to the agreement 27 year-old man’s partner, abusing the confidence established during their relations, willfully distorting the reality, under the pretext of making a tattoo by the young man on his body, on December 11, 2020 at 21:09 invited him to the working room next to his house. On the same day at about 23:00 the young man visited the mentioned place where 36 year-old man together with his friend and a group of people depriving 27 year-old man of freedom for about an hour, beat him demanding that he should tell the data of the person who had made offensive posts from his instagram page.

Receiving a negative answer they continued their criminal actions and at knifepoint got the young man into the car and took him to another building against his will where they continued depriving him of freedom for about an hour and a half and beating him. Then at about 01:25 27 year-old man was released with his friend’s interference on condition that he should tell the data of the person who had made the offensive posts later.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 36 year-old man according to the Points 1, 2 and 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 131 of RA Criminal Code. Mortgage was used as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation on the part of the latter was completed and the criminal case with the motion to confirm the bill of indictment and send it to court was sent to the prosecutor.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
