On 25 August, 2021 at 14:10 a call was received in Goris Police Division from Goris medical center informing that 35 year-old resident of Goris with burns of first, second and third grade on different parts of his body was taken to medical center. He mentioned that his wife had poured petrol on him and burnt.

In the result of taken measures data were obtained on the allegation that 29 year-old resident of Goris, being aware that her husband had an extramarital affair, on 25 August, 2021 at about 14:00 taking a bottle half-filled with petrol, as well as matches, went to the café operating in Artsakh Street of Goris. Meeting her husband there she poured the flammable liquid on him and burnt. The latter ran to the car wash next to the café where a jet of water was kept on him then he was taken to Goris medical center.  

Inspection of the scene was conducted during which 3 lit matches; the parts of the burnt clothes of the injured, as well as the bottle cap were taken.

A criminal case was initiated according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104 of RA Criminal Code preliminary investigation of which is conducted in Goris Investigative Division of Syunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

Investigative and other procedural actions are conducted to find out all circumstances of the case.
