On October 16, 2021 the senior inspector of Ararat Police Division submitted a report informing that after the murder of 30 year-old resident of Dalar village of Ararat region committed on October 15 by 20 year-old fellow-villager, during the service performed together with the policeman of SPS platoon in front of 20 year-old man’s house, a group of people approached the mentioned house and not obeying the policemen’s legal requirements, pulled them, broke the windows of the house with blackjacks in their hands then threw containers full of petrol to the house, burnt it and left.

Through inspection of the scene conducted on the same day it was found out that the mentioned house had been partially burnt. As a result, pecuniary damage in particularly large amount - 60.000.000 AMD was caused to the owner of the house.

A criminal case was initiated in Ararat Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 185 of RA Criminal Code.

In the result of investigative and other procedural actions, as well as operative-intelligence measures, the uncle and cousin of the killed resident of Dalar village were arrested and on the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against them according to the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 185 of RA Criminal Code. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against the other uncle of the victim.

On October 18, 2021 the brother of the killed resident of Dalar village turned himself to Ararat Police Division and gave self-incriminating testimony. On the same day the latter was arrested.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
