On December 15, 2022 a call was received from a citizen informing that numerous people were running after each other in the yard of one of the houses of Mashtots Avenue and firing shots at each other.

Within the framework of the criminal proceeding initiated according to the Part 3 of the Article 297 of RA Criminal Code in the Third Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee all the necessary investigative, procedural actions are being conducted to find out the circumstances of allegedly committing hooligan actions and firing shots.

Through inspection of the scene conducted during preliminary investigation fired bullets, pistol of “Beretta” type were found. Through inspection a hole was found in the window shutter of one of the apartments of the house and a fired ball - on the floor of the mentioned apartment.

Several persons were apprehended from the scene. On the same day 39 year-old resident of the same district was arrested on the base of reasonable suspicion on the crime committal.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Within the framework of the proceeding forensic medical, forensic ballistic expertise were commissioned. Measures are taken to give legal assessments to the committals of all those involved in the apparent hooliganism.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
