Necessary investigatory actions are conducted in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find all circumstances of battery committed by husband against wife in the street.
 

On the base of the report submitted by the injured woman on November 28, 2016 a criminal case was initiated in Prosecution Office of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts according to the Article 118 of RA Criminal Code and the criminal case was sent to the Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee for preliminary investigation.
 

The investigator received the criminal case in his proceeding and immediately conducted urgent investigatory actions to find the circumstances of the case. The woman was found an injured party and was interrogated.
 

The husband refused to give testimony and signature not to leave was used as a pretrial measure against him. Through investigation initial data were obtained on the cause of the argument between the spouses which shall not be published as they contain information on personal life. According to the Article 23 of RA Constitution everyone has a right to respect for his private and family life.
 

Forensic medical examination was commissioned against the woman.
 

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Additional information on procedural decisions made on the base of the evidence obtained through investigation will be provided.
 

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
