The Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee Argishti Kyaramyan, as Part of the RA Delegation, Met the Secretary General of the Council of Europe Maria Peychinovich Burich (photos)
The visit of the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee Argishti Kyaramyan, as part of the delegation of the members of the RA interdepartmental commission coordinating the implementation of international obligations undertaken by the European Convention on Human Rights, is ongoing.
Within the framework of yesterday’s visit the delegation took part in the round-table discussion dedicated to promotion of execution of judgments of European Court of Human Rights at domestic level.
The members of the interdepartmental commission were received by the Secretary General of the Council of Europe Maria Peychinovich Burich.
Issues related to cooperation between Armenia and Council of Europe, support to reforms in law enforcement and judicial spheres were discussed.
The members of the commission raised issues on violation of fundamental human rights and humanitarian crisis in the region caused by Azerbaijan’s actions during 44-day war in 2020 and after it.
